Britney Spears is reportedly set to be quizzed by social workers over allegations of child abuse. The “Toxic” singer, who has two sons, Sean Preston, four, and Jayden James, three, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, has been accused by her former bodyguard Fernando Flores of being an unfit mother, beating one of the tots with a belt and giving them both foods they were allergic to.

“Britney doesn’t mean to be a bad mother. But Flores feels she has so many issues she can’t be trusted around her boys,” a source told The Sun newspaper. “He claims the first really shocking incident was when she came marching into the pool house at her mansion and demanded his belt. He handed it over but then followed her into the main house and claims he witnessed the alleged incident.”

Britney, 28, strongly denies claims she mistreated her young boys in late March or early April. They currently split their time between her home in Beverly Hills, California, and their father Kevin’s house. Child protection agency workers apparently tried to question her about the allegations last week, but Britney had already left her home to spend a few days in Los Angeles.

Former policeman Fernando, 29, recently quit his job as the pop star’s minder, after accusing Britney of sexually harassing him by continually walking around naked in his presence. A friend of his said, “Working for Britney is tough. She’s a nightmare to deal with and her emotions are totally out of control. She runs round the house naked and yelling at staff.”

Following what her family has described as an accidental overdose of prescription pills, former tennis star Jennifer Capriati is recovering in a Florida hospital.

That’s very good news.
Meanwhile, Capriati’s ex-boyfriend has spoken out on what he believes are the two reasons her life has taken a turn for the worse these days: the fact that Jennifer misses tennis; and that he has returned to the adult film business.
Indeed, Dale DaBone dated Capriati from 2003-2009. He told TMZ she often gets depressed during a Grand Slam tournament because she misses playing and blames injuries for her abbreviated career. (The opening week of Wimbledon wrapped up over the weekend.)
DaBone also says Capriati called him Sunday night, presumably after her overdose, and was “hysterical” over his decision to star in Batman XXX: A Porn Parody.
The flick would mark DaBone’s return to the world of adult entertainment, as he’s had intercourse with women in over 440 movies. There must be some joke about tennis and balls in there, but due to Capriati’s situation, it doesn’t feel appropriate to make.

U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan may be facing a crisis much bigger than his team’s elimination from the World Cup this past weekend – a forthcoming love child.

A newspaper in the UK will allege that a British woman is pregnant by Donovan, who is separated from his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, but not divorced from her.
His relationship with Kajlich became the subject of great interest last week after they shared an emotional phone call following his winning goal against Algeria.
Donovan, who played for the Liverpool football club Everton this winter, blew her a kiss during an interview, fueling speculation that the couple might reconcile.
“It would surprise no one if Landon and Bianca were back together very soon,” said one of her friends. “They have remained in contact and are very close.”
The identity of Donovan’s baby mama is unclear at this time, as is how Bianca will feel about his attempts to win her back if this love child rumor proves to be legit.
Regarding the pregnancy rumor, Donovan did not deny it might be true, telling Sports Illustrated’s Web site: “I was informed of the possibility during the World Cup.”
“If I need to take responsibility, then I will provide the appropriate support,” he added. “This is a private matter, and I will refrain from further comment at this time.”
Donovan has spent most of his career in the U.S., but played on loan in Liverpool earlier this year, becoming a fan favorite – apparently with one woman in particular.
He was a hero for the USA at the World Cup, scoring three goals and guiding the team to the knockout phase, where they were eliminated on Saturday by Ghana.

Tiger Woods’ wife Elin is reportedly seeking full custody of the couple’s two children, but may be leaning toward remaining in South Florida, according to sources.

Elin and the kids are currently in China visiting her brother and she’s rumored to be mulling a return to her native Sweden – permanently. But perhaps no longer.
As divorce talks have progressed, Elin Woods has indicated a desire to stay in Florida, albeit in the southern part of the state, a few hours away from Orlando.
Elin may be seeking up to $750 million in a divorce, and wants full custody of the children, according to a source close to the situation, causing serious tension.
Her desire to move to Sweden, while understandable, could create big problems with Tiger as he wants to see his children often. Thus the South Florida idea.
“She has good friends in South Florida,” one source said of Elin recently. “She has spent time with them this year and she’s interested in moving to the area.”
“It could be the perfect solution. If she has any chance on Tiger not fighting her on seeking full custody, then he’s going to want to see his kids regularly.”
If Elin stays in the area, i.e. a few hours away by car and even less by plane, “that would be much easier and could avoid big problems with the divorce.”
She’s been creating a life without Tiger, traveling regularly and rarely interacting with him – the two are not on speaking terms despite living a mile apart.
When and if the divorce is put on paper, expect it to be done fast, discreetly and with a big payout, much like Tiger used to treat his bevy of mistresses.
