It’s a boy for Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney and it’ll certainly always be sunny in their lives from here on out. Well, aside from the lack of sleep. The creators of so many funny It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia quotes have created a new life, son Axel Lee McElhenney, who was born Wednesday. Appropriately, Kaitlin went into labor at a Phillies game. I went into labor at the Phillies/Dodgers game Tuesday,” says Olson. “As soon as Ryan Howard hit a three-run home run, we felt comfortable leaving to go have our baby. We love him like crazy, even though he made us miss the second half of the game. Damn kids. The couple announced the pregnancy in March. “Rob and I are so excited it’s stupid,” Olson said then. “The last few years have been pretty amazing and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the greatest thing in the world happened. Congratulations to the happy couple!
U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan may be facing a crisis much bigger than his team’s elimination from the World Cup this past weekend – a forthcoming love child.

A newspaper in the UK will allege that a British woman is pregnant by Donovan, who is separated from his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, but not divorced from her.
His relationship with Kajlich became the subject of great interest last week after they shared an emotional phone call following his winning goal against Algeria.
Donovan, who played for the Liverpool football club Everton this winter, blew her a kiss during an interview, fueling speculation that the couple might reconcile.
“It would surprise no one if Landon and Bianca were back together very soon,” said one of her friends. “They have remained in contact and are very close.”
The identity of Donovan’s baby mama is unclear at this time, as is how Bianca will feel about his attempts to win her back if this love child rumor proves to be legit.
Regarding the pregnancy rumor, Donovan did not deny it might be true, telling Sports Illustrated’s Web site: “I was informed of the possibility during the World Cup.”
“If I need to take responsibility, then I will provide the appropriate support,” he added. “This is a private matter, and I will refrain from further comment at this time.”
Donovan has spent most of his career in the U.S., but played on loan in Liverpool earlier this year, becoming a fan favorite – apparently with one woman in particular.
He was a hero for the USA at the World Cup, scoring three goals and guiding the team to the knockout phase, where they were eliminated on Saturday by Ghana.
Life’s a drag for former boy bander Lance Bass.
The “Gone” crooner is almost unrecognizable underneath layers of 80s-tastic makeup in a new set of Spandau Ballet-inspired snaps taken by NYC-based shutterbug Mike Ruiz. The photog, as Glambert fanatics will recall, shot American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert at the for a similar Hollywood glamour spread that premiered in February.
As long as Lance can avoid a lawsuit from Lambert for rippin’ his steez – we think he should play with this look more often! It’s kinda awesome.

When Madonna needed inspiration for her latest fashion collection, she didn’t have to look far. The pop icon teamed up with her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes to create Material Girl, an affordable juniors’ clothing line that debuts at Macy’s this fall.
This is not Madonna’s first foray into designing. In 2007, she worked with H&M to create a limited edition collection, M by Madonna. This time around, her venture into fashion will be long-lasting: She has launched a new company called MG ICON which, in addition to producing the juniors’ line, will also put out other collections including eyewear.
The Material Girl collection includes jeans, shoes, fingerless gloves, necklaces and other accessories. Many of the pieces are inspired by Madonna and her daughter’s dance roots.
Madonna recently spoke about Material Girl, her relationship with Lourdes (nicknamed Lola) and her fashion risks and regrets.
Associated Press: Why did you want to do a juniors’ line?
Madonna: Lola has been bothering me for ages about designing clothes. Stella McCartney is a good friend of mine and she got her mind thinking when Lola was a little girl, about 8 years old. She started giving Lola fabrics and inviting her into her showroom and asking her opinion on things, giving her sketch books and stuff like that. Stella always pushed her. I have a lot of friends who are clothing designers, whether it is Gaultier or Dolce and Gabbana. (Lola) has been around all of the shoots I have done and all of the campaigns I have done. She is always hanging out backstage. The last two tours I have done, she has been working in the wardrobe department. On this last tour she dressed all of the dancers.
AP: What has Lola taught you about fashion?
Madonna: I am boring, basically. She reminds me of me when I was younger. She just goes for it and tries different things. It doesn’t look like she thought too much about it. That is how I used to be, but after years and years of everybody commenting on the way I look and dress and being photographed, one starts to become self-conscious and starts to plan things more. You end up judging yourself more, what looks good and what doesn’t. Read more…
Michael Jackson’s eyes could be powerful evidence in favor of Dr. Conrad Murray.

TMZ broke the story — Dr. Murray’s lawyers will argue Jackson accidentally killed himself by self-injecting a lethal dose of Propofol into his bloodstream. As we reported, Dr. Murray says he left the bedroom for a short time, came back in and saw Michael with his eyes wide open and pupils dilated.
Medical experts who spoke with TMZ say if a patient is sleeping and dies of an overdose, their eyes most likely would not be open. The defense position — Jackson woke up when Murray was out of the room, became frustrated he couldn’t sleep, grabbed the Propofol bottle and “pushed it” — killing himself. Read more…
The French are coming. Washington D.C. is buzzing already with the anticipated excitement of another fashion show down. First Lady Michelle Obama and the wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, will square off next week. At its highest form, fashion sense is a way of life, it comes naturally. If you try too hard then you might not get it right. Make no mistake about it, these two women have a little competition going on. Neither one willing to declare the other the winner as of yet.
Will First Lady Michelle Obama deliver the knock out blow next week? She’s obviously been working out consistently judging from pictures. They say timing is everything. Michelle Obama has great timing. This week she totally took over the internet with a jet set tour of the east coast that had her doing everything from Pizza in Brooklyn to concerts with Keys.
Now we all know why Michelle Obama took a quick trip to New York. It wasn’t just to see her buddy Big Bird at Kaufman Astoria. No, Michelle Obama picked up a few fashion pieces. President Obama always the gentleman, picked up a few books for the kids. Their parents will be very busy this week. Those books will keep Sasha and Malia occupied while the President and First Lady throw down in a classy way on their French guests. With President Obama’s health care bill out of the way and Michelle Obama on top of childhood obesity. The First Lady and the President should be in good shape. Read more…
The 16 Personal Safety Guidelines
1) Pick pockets prefer to choose easy victims – if you look like you’re paying attention and don’t have any valuables on show it’s less likely that you will be pick pocketed.
2) Pick pockets and scam merchants often work in groups. This can confuse people – one person (or a group of people) would cause a distraction while another takes your valuables. If you are confronted with a group of people attempting to gain your attention promptly turn your back and walk away.
3 ) Only carry around as much money as you need for that day no more. Leave valuables that you aren’t going to use on the day in the hotel safe.
4) Do not carry around a haversack on your back – be especially aware of this on the metro. Pickpockets have been known to steal from haversacks on people’s backs when on the metro. If you have a haversack wear it the other way around with the bag in front of you.
5) Do not have a camera slung around your neck (or any other expensive items like video cams) I was once witness to someone snatching a camera from around someone’s neck and running off with it.
Keep any valuables out of sight. If you have a camera put it in your inside jacket pocket. If it’s too big for this then put it in a small bag and have the bag strap go diagonally over your neck and shoulder so that it goes under your arm -this makes it much more difficult for someone to snatch your bag. Keep the bag in front of you – not at your side. The bag should not be a camera bag – choose a small ordinary day bag with a zip fastener top.
Do not put your wallet in the bag – keep that separate.
6) If you need to look up anything on a map go into a cafe and sit down rather than look up your destination in the streets. This is like advertising that you are new to the area and a tourist and that is exactly what pickpockets are looking for.
7) In Cafes and restaurants pay attention to your bags/purses and wallets. This may seem obvious but when you’re on holiday it’s easy to “switch off” and not pay attention to where your belongings are. Typical places where bags are stolen are in cafe’s when tourists put them down at their feet, or if they leave their wallets in their jacket pockets and put their jackets on the back of a chair. When you put your bag down keep it in sight. If you can’t keep it in sight all the time wrap the bag strap around something so that it can’t just be easily picked up.
Watch out for distraction / theft scams – these start with a distraction e.g. someone asks for directions, drop money in front of you, asks you to make a donation -and variations on these distractions. Then once your attention is taken either the person involved or someone else will steal from you. Watch out for the famous bird poo distraction/theft scam. Someone will come up to you claiming that you have had bird poo on your back. They will attempt to “help” you wipe it off, whilst pick pocketing you of course! This is now an infamous and all too common scam. (see site visitor feedback below) or click here to read one site visitor’s experience of this scam
9) Pay particular attention at stations.
Stations are hotspots for pickpockets and thieves. There are many reasons for this:
a) You have identified yourself as a likely tourist by being there.
b) You are also likely to be a little disorientated in a new place.
c) There are legitimate reasons for someone to press up against you or to be in close vicinity to you, e.g. getting on or off a train or metro.
d) You have to either pay for tickets or take your tickets out from a purse or wallet. The pickpockets will be watching for this because then they will know exactly where you keep you money. They will watch where you put your purse or wallet after you have paid for your tickets.
e) You are most likely loaded up with all your belongings at this point. Unlike when you have made it to your hotel you can take out just what you need.
So what can you do? The tip here is to keep your purse / wallet out of sight. Keep your tickets separate from your purse or wallet. If you can obtain your tickets in advance of your arrival in Barcelona (see the tip below) that way you do not need to take out your purse or wallet to pay for tickets.
Buy a transport pass that covers all your transportation needs before you arrive in Barcelona e.g the Barcelona Card. This way you do not need to handle money to pay for tickets when you are travelling on the public transport in Barcelona and it will also mean you are much less of a target. Read more…
Thirty years of marriage counseling and 25 years of a second marriage have convinced me that couples do not need to fight; they need to discuss. Married couples need to solve problems, and sometimes they need to disagree, but they don’t need to squabble, argue or bicker. Fights are dramatic, a dynamic that does not really help a discussion. If you have enough energy to create drama, you have more than enough to tone it down into a discussion. However, because social expectations and mythology are so strong (fighting is often glorified in films and on television as a sign of passion), many of my clients want guidelines for “fighting fair.” I’ve developed a set of Fair Fight Guidelines you may find helpful.

Remember the point of the fight is to reach a solution, not to win, be right, or make your partner wrong.
Don’t try to mind read. Ask instead what he or she is thinking.
Don’t bring up all the prior problems that relate to this one. Leave the past in the past; keep this about one recent problem. Solve one thing at a time.
Keep the process simple. State the problem, suggest some alternatives, and choose a solution together.
Don’t talk too much at once. Keep your statements to two or three sentences. Your partner will not be able to grasp more than that.
Give your partner a chance to respond and to suggest options.
Practice equality. If something is important enough to one of you, it will inevitably be important to both of you, so honor your partner’s need to solve a problem.
Ask and answer questions directly. Again, keep it as simple as possible. Let your partner know you hear him or her.
State your problem as a request, not a demand. To make it a positive request, use “I messages” and “please”.
Don’t use power struggle tactics: guilt and obligation, threats and emotional blackmail, courtroom logic: peacekeeping, sacrificing, or hammering away are off limits. Read more…
