Fashion & Style: While many luxury fashion houses are suffering, Analeena is thriving in the midst of the recession, thanks to the foresight of creator, Lina H.
Lina H. is an up-and-coming handbag and leather goods accessories designer. Having an interest in fashion from an early age, Lina became a buyer for legendary fashion house Hermès at the age of 21. From there, she went on to become an assistant designer for Jean Louis Scherrer Haute Couture. Her combined experience at both companies gave her the foundation to create Analeena, although she holds a special place in her heart for Hermès.

Analeena is the culmination of some of the best designs the world has seen, much more than just a typical bag. Lina’s designs are innovative, combining classic with contemporary for chic and sexy results. In fact, Analeena is so stunning, that they are comparable to jewelry: vibrant, elegant and timeless. Studs continue to pop up everywhere, and although the concept remains the same designers are getting creative with the details. The Marni Studded Leather Bag has large, flat studs (like finely shined thumbtacks) lined up in rows over gray leather. Instead of the expected “biker chic” vibe that would normally come from a combination of studs and leather this bag seems much more girly with an almost contemporary feel. A delicate black ribbon goes around the middle of this messenger style bag and acts as a fastener to keep it closed while the fold-over flap also has a zip closure. 
Fortunately (and unlike the case with computers), luggage can be a lifetime investment; a good bag doesn’t become obsolete in five years. Consequently, the most intelligent designs will be those that focus on the first two elements, being both highly functional for their intended use, and able to last a lifetime. Such bags will not be the least expensive ones on the market, but they needn’t be inordinately costly either, especially if purchased directly from the manufacturer instead of via a cost-multiplying network of distributors and local dealers. Should cost be the critical factor, however, the wise lightweight traveller (who rarely needs to check a bag) will choose good (i.e., functional/efficient) over durable as the second most important factor.
